    Difference in power = 30 W

    Explanation:

    Power: This is the rate at which energy is used. The S. I unit of power is Watt.

    From the question,

    P = W * (L+h) / t

    Where, W = weight of the box, L = length of the ramp, h = height of the platform, t = time.

    For the first person,

    P₁ = W (L+h) / t₁ ... Equation 1

    Where, W = 40 N, L = 2 m, h = 1 m, t₁ = 2 s

    Substitute into equation 1

    P₁ = 40 (2+1) / 2

    P₁ = 20 (3)

    P₁ = 60 W.

    For the second person,

    P₂ = W (L+h) / t₂ ... Equation 2

    Given: W = 40 N, L = 2 m, h = 1 m, t₂ = 4 s

    Substitute into equation 2

    P₂ = 40 (2+1) / 4

    P₂ = 10 (3)

    P₂ = 30 W

    Difference in power = P₁-P₂ = 60-30 = 30 W
