A car going 30 meters a second undergoes an acceleration of 2 meters a second squared for 4 seconds. What is its final speed? How far did it travel while it was accelerating?

    30-2 = 28m

    28X4=112m/s

    v = u + at where v = final speed, u = initial speed, a = acceleration and t = time.

    so here final speed v = 30 + 2*4 = 38 m/sec. answer

    Distance travelled during this time

    = (30 + 38) * 4 / 2 = 68 * 2 = 136 m answer
