An artillery shell is fired at an angle of 56.1 degrees above the horizontal ground with an initial speed of 1660 m/s. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Find its horizontal range, neglecting air resistance. Answer in units of km.

    resolve speed horizontally and vertically.

    apply kinematc equations to calculate "up and dow" vertical motion. You want the round trip time.

    apply distance = speed x time to horizontal motion
