If a person were to stroll onto a diving board, the diving board offers a little bit (bends) under his weight. So, the load of the individual is a force pushing down on the board.

Diving pertains to Newton's third law of motion.

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Here, the force applied by a person's foot is equal to the force applied by diving board. These two forces having equal magnitude but acts in opposite direction.

Hence, the diving board is a good example of Newton's third law of motion.
