    m = mass of the volleyball = 21. kg

    v = speed of the volleyball as it leaves her hand = 30 m/s

    KE = kinetic energy of the volleyball

    kinetic energy of the volleyball is given by the formula

    KE = (0.5) m v²

    inserting the above values in the formula

    KE = (0.5) (2.1) (30) ²

    KE = (0.5) (2.1) (900)

    KE = (0.5) (1890)

    KE = 945 Joules

    hence the energy of the volleyball comes out to be 945 Joules
