Biomass as a fuel source is not widely available all over the world while fossil fuels are abundant around the world.

    Explanation:

Biomass consists of waste materials like wood not used in paper industry, scrape wood, forest waste, crop waste, forest debris etc. They give heat on burning which is used to evaporate water to get steam to run turbine of thermal generating power plant. These resources are not widely available all over the world. Around the area adjoining forest, they are found in abundance. They are as polluting in nature as other thermal power plant.
