    The advantage of making plant-based products, such as cotton, instead of making petroleum-based products, such as plastics is that the Plants that are used to make the product can be replaced. As the plants are the renewable resources which once removed from a land for human consumption can be replanted. But the petroleum is a non-renewable resource which means once a certain quantity is used it cannot be replenished or used again.
