You sit on your little brother's tiny chair. As soon as you sit on the chair it breaks. The force that is exerted by you (downwards) on the chair is 100 Newtons. Use what you learned about balanced and unbalanced forces to explain why the chair broke when you sat on it.

    There was unbalance of force as my weight (100N) was greater than the strength of the chair.

    The tension created by my weight unbalanced the forced and it caused a negative reaction.
