    Answer and Explanation:

The major difference is the independence and democracy the west enjoyed after the war. After the second world war, while the Eastern Europe was still subject to the dictates and rules of the Soviet Union, the western Europe formed their own government and had freedom of movement.

Talking about the first world war, War on the Eastern front was larger and this made it not to result in trench ware like it was in the West. Instead it was more of a long established and deadly war because of the improvement in technology. On the Eastern war front, Russia was well defected in Germany, Austria-Hungary was been defected by Russian until Germany intervened. 2.5 million Russian men died.

War on the West war front was supported by the coming of the Americans. It was a bloody fight and millions of people lost their lives, During this way, soldiers dug trenches that span through out the country with both sides maintaining the same position for four solid years.
