    Kinetic energy of the player as she leaves the ground=490 J

    Explanation:

    Weight of the volley ball player = 600 N

    weight = mg

    m = mass

    g = acceleration due to gravity=9.8 m/s²

    so 600 = m (9.8)

    m=61.2 kg

    Now the kinetic energy is given by KE = 1/2 mv²

    v = velocity of the player as she leaves the ground = 4 m/s

    KE = 1/2 (61.2) (4) ²

    KE = 490 J
