A car was traveling due east at a constant speed of 60 miles per hour. How far did it travel in 10 min.

    1 hour = 60 minutes, so it can travel 60 miles in 60 minutes.

    Hence it can travel 1 mile per minute (just divide the miles and minutes by 60).

    Therefore it can travel 10 miles in 10 minutes.
