Our Solar System consists of one star, the Sun, at the center and eight planets orbiting around it.

The first four inner planets orbiting the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, are relatively small and are surrounded by an asteroid belt. After the asteroid belt, the four outer planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, are a lot bigger. The Kuiper belt, mainly made of ice, surrounds the outer planets.
