    Work = (force) x (distance)

    = (2,000 N) x (1,000 m)

    = 2,000,000 joules

    Power = (work done) / (time to do the work)

    = (2,000,000 joules) / (45 minutes)

    = (44,444 and 4/9) joules per minute

    = 740.74 joules per second = 740.74 watts.

    Note: This is almost exactly 1 "horsepower".

    1 horsepower = 746 watts.
