Compare and Contrast Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Rays according to their charge, mass and structure.

    Alpha: alpha rays consists of alpha particles so they have a charge of two positive and a mass of 4.

    Beta: beta rays consists of electrons so the have a charge of negative one and no charge.

    Gamma: gamma rays have no mass and no charge

    Alpha particles are likened to a helium atom that has a proton and electron number of two and an atomic mass of 4. Beta rays are composed of electrons that have a charge of negative one but no charge. Gamma rays on the other hand are the lightest since they have no mass and no charge
