A projectile is fired with an initial speed of 200 m/s, angle of elevation 60 degrees, and fired from 100m above the ground.

What is the range, maximum height, and speed at impact?

    D = v^2 (sin2 (theeta)) / g

    d = 200^2 sin2 (60) / 9.8

    d = 40000 (sin 120) / 9.8

    d = 40000 (0.5806) / 9.8

    d = 23224.44/9.8

    d = 2369 m

    s = vf^2 - vi^2

    s = 0^2 - 200^2

    s = 0 - 40000 m

    s = - 40000 m (distance can never be negative)
