    The name for the material that stacks around the edges of impact craters on the moon is ejecta. Planetary geological definition says that these are particles that are ejected from formation of an impact crater. According to the volcanological definition, ejecta are particles ejected from a volcanic vent that can consist of fragmented magma, free crystals, old volcanic rocks and particles from under volcanic areas.
