A car weighs 15,000 N, and its tires are inflated to a pressure of 190 kPa. How large is the area of the car's tires that are in contact with the road?

    Pressure is the force applied perpendicular to a surface divided by the area of the surface. Therefore, from the given values, we can easily calculate the area by dividing the force to the pressure. We do as follows:

    Area = F / P

    Area = 15000 / 190000

    Area = 0.0789 m^2
