    The magnetic field is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the wire. If we let k be the constant of proportionality, the equation for the magnetic field can be expressed as

    M = k/d²

    Using the first set of values

    0.1 t = k / (0.02) ²; k = 4x10⁻⁵

    Using this value for the next set,

    M = 4x10⁻⁵ / (0.01²)

    M = 0.4t

    Thus, the magnetic field 0.01 m away from the wire is equal to 0.4t.
