How do you Calculate the average acceleration of an object in m/s2

    Average |acceleration| in some period of time =

    (speed at the end of the period) minus (speed at the beginning)

    divided by

    (length of the period of time).

    If the change in speed is expressed in m/s,

    and the length of time is expressed in seconds,

    then the average acceleration will be in m/s².
