A 1500 kg car drives around a flat 200-m-diameter circular track at 25m/s. What are the magnitude and direction of the net force on the car? What causes this force?

    As the object is moving in a circle, the net force on the object is centripetal force.

    Centripetal force = (mass * velocity²) / radius

    mass = 1500 kg

    velocity = 25m/s

    radius = 0.5 * diameter of circle = 200/2 = 100m

    Centripetal force = (1500*25²) / 100 = 9375 Newtons
