Does gravity have an effect on the potential difference of a battery?

    No, gravity will not have an effect on potential difference of a battery. Potential difference is caused by a difference of negative charges on the two electrodes of battery, such that the greater the difference, more is the potential difference of a battery. Gravity only applies downward force on objects and has nothing to do with potential difference of a battery
