The specific heat of Aluminum is 0.9 J/g K. How much heat is lost as a 100 gram sample of Aluminum is dropped into a beaker of water and its temperature drops from 100°C to 25°C?

    Energy=mass*SHC*temp change

    =100*0.9*75

    =6750J
