What is the length of the opposite side of a right triangle if the hypotenuse is 52 m long and the angle is 12°

    The sine of an angle is (opposite side) / (hypotenuse).

    Multiply each side by (hypotenuse, and you have

    Opposite side = (hypotenuse) x (sine of the angle).

    Sin (12°) = 0.2079 ...

    Opposite side = (52 m) x (0.2079)

    = 10.81 meters.
