    In the given question, there are several important information's that are already given.

    Energy = 150 Joules

    Gravity = 9.8 m/s^2

    Height = 5 meter.

    Based on the above information's the mass of the object can easily be found.

    We know the formula

    Energy = Mass * gravity * Height

    Then Mass = Energy / (Gravity * Height)

    = 150 / (9.8 * 5)

    = 150/49

    = 3.06

    So the mass of the object was 3.06 kg

    Potential energy (PE) = mass (m) * Gravitational acceleration (g) * height (h)

    where PE = 150 J, g = 9.8 m/s² and h = 5 m

    m = PE / (g*h) = 150 / (9.8*5) = 3.061 kg
