A rock is thrown down with an intial speed of 10.0 m/s from a bridge in the water. it takes 2.75 s for the rock to hit the water? find the speed of the rock as it hits the water, and how high is the bridge above the water?

    Final velocity v=u+at

    v = 10 + 9.8 (2.75) = 36.95 m/s

    height of the bridge s = 1/2 (v+u) t

    s = 1/2 x (36.95+10) x 2.75 = 64.56 m
