Why is there a higher percentage of oxygen in inhaled air compared to exhales air

    Because if your respiration is operating normally, you use part of the

    oxygen that you inhale, to burn your food. In that chemical process,

    some of the oxygen gets changed to carbon dioxide, which you then exhale.

    If your respiratory system doesn't work this way, then you don't last long.
