If a small machine does 2500 joules of work on an object to move it a distance of 100 meters in 10 seconds, what is the force needed to do the work? What is the power of the machine doing the work?

    Work done = force * distance; force = work done/distance

    where workdone = 2500 J and Distance = 100 meters.

    Force = 2500/100 = 25 Newtons

    Power = work done/time = 2500/10 = 250 Watts.
