    A) change in momentum for adult = mv = 68.4 x 88.6 = 6060 kgm/s

    change in momentum for the child = 34.2 x 88.6 = 3030 kgm/s

    b) force = change in momentum / time

    force on adult = 6060/0.564 = 10745 N

    force on child = 3030/0.260 = 11653 N
