A sports car accelerates from a standing start to 100 mi/h in 4.61s. find the acceleration in ft/s^2

    1 mile = 5280 foot

    100 miles = 5280*100 = 528,000 feet in 3600 seconds

    In one second = 528,000/3600 = 146.67 feet/sec

    acceleration = change in velocity/time interval = 146.67/4.61 = 31.81 ft/s²
