    2) 4.80 x 10^-19 J. The charge on an electron is 1.602 x 10^-19 C. A potential difference of 3.00 volts does 1.602 x 10^-19 C x 3 J/C = 4.80 x 10^-19 J of work to move the electron. As work done is potential difference x amount of charge.
