In the general theory of relativity, Einstein incorporated gravity as a geometric property of space-time, i. e. a 'curvature' in space-time. In physics, spacetime is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single interwoven continuum, and it can be described by four coordinates, three coordinates of space and one of time. Denser object distort space-time more causing it to curve around more, than lighter objects. In particular, the curvature of space-time is directly related to the momentum and energy of the matter and radiation present. In the general theory of relativity Einstein summed up this relation by the Einstein field equations.
