If an astronaut moved away from earth in the direction of the moon how would the gravitational force between the earth and the astronaut change

    It would change because the earth has a strong gravity force and the moon doesn't. The force would weaken because when you're in space nothing pulls you so you're basically floating unless you're close to a planets atmosphere
