A snowmobile has a mass of 2.5x10^2 kg. it is acted upon by a force so that its velocity changes from 6.0 m/s to 28 m/s. What is the change in momentum show your work?

    Momentum is calculated through p=mv

    So, at 6ms^-1 its momentum is p = (2.5x10^2) x6 = 1500 kgm/s

    At 28m/s its momentum is p = (2.5x10^2) x28 = 7000 kgm/s

    7000-1500=5500, so the change in momentum is 5500 kgm/s
