If a train and a car are traveling at the same speed, they have the same amount of kinetic energy.

    Not necessarily. Kinetic energy does depend on speed,

    but it also depends on mass.

    If the car has more mass than the train has, and they're

    traveling at the same speed, then the car has more

    kinetic energy than the train.

    Or the other way around. It depends on both the speed

    and the mass.
