    Weight = (mass) x (acceleration of gravity).

    If that particular yacht is on Earth, then gravity = 9.8 m/s².

    14,700 N = (mass) x (9.8 m/s²)

    Divide each side by (9.8 m/s²):

    mass = 14,700 N / 9.8 m/s²

    = 1,500 kilograms.
