A car rolls along a surface with a coefficient of friction of. 795 I f the car has a mass of 905 kg, what force is needed to accelerate the car from rest to 102.5 km/hr in 10 sec?

    102.5 km/hr = 28.5 m/s

    a = (28.5 - 0) / 10

    a = 2.85 m/s²

    Resultant force = forward force - friction

    ma = F - μmg

    F = ma + μmg

    F = 905 (2.85 + 0.795 x 9.81)

    F = 9637.3 N

    F = 9600 N
