The net force acting on an object in the horizontal direction is 25 newtons, and the force acting in the vertical direction is 18 newtons. Find the angle from the horizontal in which the force is acting.

    The angle is found by taking the arctangent of the vertical angle divided by the horizontal angle

    θ = arctan (18/25) = 35.75°

    36° is the closest answer.
