    To explain this, angular momentum is used. angular momentum (L) is equal to inertia times the angular velocity (w). since the inertia is directly proportional to mass, so if the mass will decrease suddenly then the angular velocity will increase. w = L / i

    where i = mr^2

    m is the mass

    w = L / mr^2

    w and m are inversely proportional. when m decreases w increases
