Who first suggested the concept of atoms?

    Well, it was Democritus who first suggested that everything around us is made up of tiny and small indivisible particles called "Atoms" which is Latin for "Atomos" meaning indivisible. However, chemists discovered that atom is divisible, meaning it is made up of small particles too (protons, electrons and neutrons).

    Isaac newton suggested that everything around us is made out of tiny particles however it was John Dalton Who first came up with the idea of atoms
