How do you calculate deceleration?

    Deceleration = Change in velocity (u-v) / time taken (t)

    initial velocity - final velocity / time

    Change in velocity divided by time

    So to work out the Δvelocity you do final speed - initial speed

    This will give you a negative value as deceleration is the same as the minus value of acceleration
