Any object that allows light to freely bounce off its surface is said to be reflective. Reflection is the bouncing back of waves, in this case light waves, upon reaching another surface. Other examples of reflective surfaces are some metals and the glass that makes mirrors. It is the mirror's ability to reflect light that allows us to see our relection.
