What would happen to the rock cycle if erosion did not occur

    Erosion serves the purpose of recycling older rocks in the rock cycle, without Erosion Newer rocks would not be recycled into sedimentary rocks and would result in large deposits of igneous and Metamorphic rocks.

    If erosion did not occur, no rock cycle would happen. It would end up having large amounts of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. No finer rocks can be found and no flat lands can be seen.
