Radiation therapy is a means to treat diseases such as cancer. All of the listed energy sources can be utilised to treat cancer. However, beta particles (which consist of high energy electrons) are more likley to be used in imaging tests, for example to visualise tumours. The remaining three are all used as external radiation therapy.
