When sunlight excites electrons in chlorophyll, how do the electrons change?

    When the sunlight hits the electrons in the chlorophyll, these electrons would change by increasing its energy level. Then the electrons would move from one molecule to another in the thylakoid membrane, thus making the plant replenish its electrons using water energy.
