The opening or window must contain a same fundamental frequency when the same note was played on the trumpet, this is also same principles in other instrument. Every time the note is played, the resonance causes the particular room to rattles or vibrates.

The window rattled because it has the same natural frequency as the particular note that was been played on the trumpet. The similarity of the frequencies result in resonance which made the window to rattled.
