Organisms that have a narrow temperature tolerance range can live in areas where the temperature changes are very rare. If climate change occurs, they will be affected more than organisms that have a wider temperature tolerance range would. For example, species A has the narrow temperature tolerance range and can survive if the temperature of the environment is 5-10°C. Species B has the wider temperature tolerance range and can survive if the temperature of the environment is 0 - 25°C. Imagine that both species live in the environment where the temperature is 7°C. If a climate change occurs and the temperature increase u 20°C, species A will be more affected than species B.
