A student was travelling on a bus and he was standing in the middle portion of the bus. When the bus driver jammed on the brakes, a wooden box hit the student's legs. He claimed that the box came from the front portion of the bus. Is his claim true? Explain.

    False, if the student is standing in the middle portion of the bus and let's say the box is in the front, when the bus driver hit the brakes every object on the bus that is loose will move to the front due to inertia. Hence, the box and the student would be pushed to the front.
