A stone tumbles into a mine shaft and strikes bottom after falling 4.2 seconds. How deep is the mine shaft?

    Assuming gravity is 9.8 m/s we use the formula V=s/t

    V = 9.8, t = 4.2

    S = 4.2 x 9.8 = 41.16 meters
