Explain the difference between speed and velocity

    Speed is how fast something is going in general velocity is the speed of something going in s give direction.

    - - Speed is simply the rate at which distance changes.

    "30 mph north" and "30 mph east" are the same speed.

    - - Velocity is speed and its direction.

    "30 mph north" and "30 mph east" are different velocities.
