How do nuclear power plnts generate the heat energy to turn water into steam?

    Elements such as Uranium have isotopes that have a relatively unstable nucleas, which can be disrupted by firing protons at it which causes fission, a process where the element split into daughter elements, this fission process releases vast amounts of energy which is used to turn the water into steam.
